CHRISTINE HUMAR

President

Hello PPCES-West Families! I am Christine Humar. I am extremely honored to be able to serve our students, teachers, staff, charter families, and our community. Get to know more about me below.

How long have you served on the PTA Board?

This will be my 8th and last year on the PTA Board as well as, my 2nd year as your PTA President.

Why is this your last year on the board?

I have 2 beautiful children in the Pembroke Pines Charter system. One of which will be graduating this year from west elementary.

Will we see you on the PTSA Board in Middle School?

Unfortunately, I have decided to "retire" from PTA.

What is your professional background and how does it apply to your role in the PTA?

My husband and I operate a successful commercial photography & video production company, which has been open since 2005. As a creative producer, my job is take a concept and make it reality. This includes working with an experienced team of creatives, to casting talent, to overseeing the entire production from beginning to end to ensure a smooth and seamless production. Being a producer takes leadership, organization, creativity, being able to stay within budget, and ability to think outside of the box. These are the skills that I bring to our PTA.

Not only do I enjoy helping our children, I also enjoy helping our community Heros as a 'Home for Heroes' Affiliate Realtor and a Tzu Chi Miami Volunteer.

Why did you join the PTA Board?

Since my oldest began elementary, I wanted to be involved and I did right from the start. I wanted to be part of the process of building our school community. I love being a part of PPCES-WEST PTA. Our PTA community helps our students, teachers, and school grow to achieve our common goals, which is to help our school become one big family, to work as a community, and most of all to be the voice of our PPCES-West Campus families.
